100% correct restoration; every nut, bolt, cotterpin is original Indian. Much of it being new-old stock. Bike was restored by the late renowned restoration expert; Pete Bollenbach. Pete had a reputation for being one of the top Indian experts in the world. Numerous award winning bikes were produced in his Barrington, IL shop. This specific bike was his personal tour bike and was restored at the highest standard possible using only new-old stock components for the restoration of what was an exceptionally nice bike to begin with. Pete said at the time of purchase, he had 400 hours of his time invested in the restoration. This bike has earned numerous AMCA and national awards. Of the 21,000 original Twins manufactured, this is one of the finest surviving examples known. Bike was purchased from Pete Bollenbach in 1999 and has been in a private collection ever since. Bike has been ridden frequently post-restoration on AMCA events and does show wear and tear that would be normal for 15 years of use. Some minor paint wear and tear as indicated in the photographs, kick-start, 2-speed . Original messenger seat. Bike would benefit greatly from some serious detailing, nickle is in excellent shape. Excellent "cannonball" candidate. The 1915 Indian Big Twin was the pinnacle of Indian early development of F-Head engines. Dual suspension, some consider it the last "real" Indian to emanate from the legendary Springfield factory. Copy of Title with Pete Bollenbach's signature upon sale.
